PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fermented soybean container that excels in cushioning shock, etc., and a reinforcement effect, can accommodate a condiment storing bag in a recessed part on the upper face side of a lid body and can minimize the height of the container.SOLUTION: The fermented soybean container A includes a container body 1 having a storing recessed part 2 formed therein, and the lid body 5 connected to the container body 1 via a hinge 6. In the lid body 5, with flanges 7 left along its periphery, a U-shaped cross-sectional rib-like projection 8 which fits in the opening 3 in the storing recessed part 2 is formed to project on the underside of the closed lid, except the hinge side 6, so as to form a U-shape in a plane. A flat portion 9 is left in the same plane as the flange 7 along the inside of the rib-like projection 8, and thereby a recess 10 for storing the condiment storing bag is defined in an inner portion of the upper side of the closed lid.
