A patient interface includes a cushion having a body with a front portion and a rear portion. The front portion has a lower opening structured to receive a flow of a treatment gas and a coupling mechanism. The rear portion is structured to engage a user's face and provide a generally continuous seal therewith. The patient interface further includes a frame having a torus shaped portion defining an opening. The opening has at least a portion of the coupling mechanism disposed therein.L'invention concerne une interface patient comprenant un coussin dont le corps est constitué d'une partie avant et d'une partie arrière. La partie avant présente une ouverture inférieure conçue pour recevoir un écoulement d'un gaz de traitement et un mécanisme d'accouplement. La partie arrière est conçue pour venir en contact avec le visage de l'utilisateur et créer contre celui-ci une étanchéité généralement continue. L'interface patient comprend également un cadre présentant une portion en forme de tore formant une ouverture. Au moins une portion du mécanisme d'accouplement est placée dans l'ouverture.
