In accordance with the present invention there is provided a rope or yarn comprising a combination of polymeric fibers and inorganic fibers. The present invention provides means to increase the density of products such as ropes or yarns for applications where it is required that floating of such products is avoided. In addition, the mechanical properties of the rope or yarn are not negatively affected. It was found that the inorganic fibers may in some cases even contribute to the mechanical properties.La présente invention concerne une corde ou un fil comprenant une combinaison de fibres polymères et de fibres inorganiques. La présente invention concerne des moyens permettant d'augmenter la densité de produits tels que des cordes ou des fils pour des applications où il est nécessaire que le flottement de tels produits soit évité.
