The present invention discloses fungal strains and their consortium that can effectively improve the soil properties. The present invention also relates to a soil improving composition comprising at least one of best isolated fungal species. The isolated strains and the compositions of the present invention can be used in various agro-based products which are useful for soil and crop productivity. The present invention also provides a method of manufacturing said composition, and also the method of using said strain(s)/composition for agriculture purposes.
