SOLUTION: In the image processing device 1b, an image processing part 140b includes a high luminance region extraction processing part 142 and a vascular identification processing part 147b to specify a vascular area in a specimen image. The high luminance region extraction processing part 142 extracts a high luminance area from the specimen image. The vascular identification processing part 147b specifies an area including the high luminance area as a vascular area based on the existing probability of elastic fibers existing around the high luminance area.
