The invention proposes a method implemented in a system comprising: - a series of electrodes, - a DC voltage source, - a control device, adapted to connect a pair of so-called active electrodes to the voltage source, said active electrodes constituting an anode and a cathode, and for connecting at least one other so-called passive, high impedance electrode, said electrode for measuring the potential reached by the body, and - a measuring device, the method comprising a step measurement system comprising the application, at the anode, of continuous and constant voltage slots, and the acquisition of data representative of the current flowing between the electrodes and potentials on electrodes connected at high impedance, the voltage applied to the anode during the measurement step being decreasing between each slot and the next slot, the duration of the first voltage slot being greater than the duration of the subsequent slots, to stabilize, from the first slot, an oxidation of the anode at the origin of an overvoltage of said anode, the method further comprising, after the application of the voltage slots, the measurement of the overvoltage of the anode, and determining, from the overvoltage, an electrochemical conductance of the skin for a determined potential difference between the anode and the body.
