PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathing apparatus which improves the accuracy and reliability of positioning the vertical movement position of a riding part with respect to a bathtub and thereby simultaneously satisfying needs conflicting each other of downsizing a bathtub and expanding the placing face of a person to be cared of the riding part.SOLUTION: The bathing apparatus comprises: a conveyance apparatus including the riding part for a person to be cared to ride and a truck and the bathtub. The bathing apparatus moves the conveyance apparatus to a proper position to immerse the riding part into the bathtub and vertically moves at least the riding part or the bathtub to carry out bathing. The bathing apparatus also comprises braking means at a portion where the conveyance apparatus and the bathtub are close to each other at the proper position. The braking means starts with moving operation of the conveyance apparatus and stops the conveyance apparatus at the proper position.
