PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a composition for the treatment of proliferative diseases, the method comprising administration of a combination of a taxane and at least one of other therapeutic agents, and to provide other treatment modalities useful in the treatment of proliferative diseases.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a combination therapy method for treating a proliferative disease (such as cancer). The method comprises a first therapy comprising administering to an individual an effective amount of a taxane in a nanoparticle composition, and a second therapy which may include, for example, radiation, surgery, administration of chemotherapeutic agents, or combinations thereof. The present invention also provides a method for treating a proliferative disease such as cancer.
