PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization auxiliary composition for ozone treatment, which economically and efficiently sterilizes an object to be treated in an ozone treatment and a sterilization method using the same.
SOLUTION: The sterilization auxiliary composition for ozone treatment includes a water-soluble polysaccharide. Preferably the water-soluble polysaccharide is at least one selected from the group consisting of chitosan, xanthan gum, gellan gum, pectin, guar gum, locust bean gum, tamarind gum, carrageenan and propylene glycol alginate. Preferably the sterilization auxiliary composition for ozone treatment further contains a 1-10C fatty acid glyceride. Ozone is aerated in water to be treated containing an object to be treated in the presence of the sterilization auxiliary composition for ozone treatment.
