SOLUTION: The medical image diagnostic apparatus 1, an X-ray CT apparatus 10 for instance, includes: an imaging system 11 for imaging an imaging part a volume data generation part 55 for generating a single piece of volume data on the basis of projection data generated by imaging by the imaging system 11 a view point / line-of-sight direction setting part for setting the combination of a plurality of view points / line-of-sight directions for the single piece of volume data a display view point / line-of-sight direction setting part 57 for obtaining the combination of the view points / line-of-sight directions of interpolation for interpolating the plurality of view points / line-of-sight directions and setting the plurality of view points / line-of-sight directions for display constituted of the plurality of view points / line-of-sight directions and the view points / line-of-sight directions of the interpolation and a 3D image processing part 56 for generating two or more pieces of 3D image data by executing 3D image processing applying the plurality of view points / line-of-sight directions for display to the single piece of volume data and successively outputting the two or more pieces of 3D image data to a display device 47 according to the rank of the plurality of view points / line-of-sight directions for display.
