Disclosed is a drainable ostomy pouch (10) having a closure system that includes a resealable press and seal material. The pouch is formed from front and rear panels joined along their edges. The pouch has an outlet in its tail portion (22) and the front panel has a stomal opening (16) for receiving waste. The tail portion includes a closure system with textured film which is coated with self-sealing adhesive on at least one of said panels located proximate to the outlet. The film is foldable upon itself so as to resealably close the outlet. The film covers at least one panel of the tail portion entirely.
