PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new FGF5-like active substance useful as a hair growth inhibiting agent, a hair removing agent, a skin bleach, or the like.
SOLUTION: The peptide is a peptide having at least FGF5-like activity comprising a sequence comprising Gly-Ser-Leu-Tyr, Ser-Leu-Tyr, Gly-Ser-Leu, Leu-Tyr, or Leu-Tyr-Phe-Arg in its amino acid sequence or a salt thereof. This has a very short sequence as an FGF5 agonist, is very simple to synthesize a peptide, is inexpensive, and is excellent in percutaneous absorbability.
