PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conditioner for straws, which damages and crease rice straws, prevents rice straws from scattering and easily piles up them in order to efficiently collect rice straws by using a collection machine for pasture grass and a head feeding type combine harvester equipped with the conditioner for rice straws.SOLUTION: The conditioner 11 for rice straws, which creases rice straws, is equipped with a conditioning arm 3 against which rice straws are thrown and a pair of star wheels 2R and 2L that are rotated in the same direction around the same axis so as to throw rice straws against the conditioning arm 3.
