A granular product delivery arrangement and method for an agriculturalproduct applicator utilize a granular product deflector disposed below aninflow slot ina substantially horizontally extending supply line for enhancing entrainmentof thegranular product in an air stream passing through the supply line. Thedeflector has abody configured for enhancing entrainment of the granular product droppedthroughthe slot into the flow of pressurized air passing through the supply line bydirectingthe granular product toward an inner wall of the supply line adjacent theinflow slot,and directing the air stream away from the inflow slot in a manner thatmaintains asubstantially unobstructed path for the airstream through a central area ofthe supplyline and provides multiple zones within the supply line for the granularproduct to beentrained into the air stream.
