An at least partially open sided outdoor animal shelter structure, the structure including a floor to support animals, (b) a water impervious canopy, the canopy being supported above at least part of the floor by side supports, (c) at least one air flow control means comprising a closable opening through the canopy that, in its open condition, can allow airflow out of the space below the canopy, through the canopy, to thereby allow adjustment of the climate that any animal standing on the floor experiences. The canopy is curved and the closable opening is positioned at or adjacent the apex of the canopy.
