PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of a light emitting device and the light emitting device for reducing pattern noise when taking in the image of a subject and observing an image full of color reproducibility with little color tone unevenness, in the application to an endoscope or the like.
SOLUTION: The driving method of a light emitting device includes: using light emitting devices 1 and 1a provided with light emission parts 10 and 10a which is constituted by an excitation light source 12 having laser diodes 11 and 11a, waveform conversion members 14 and 14a for absorbing excitation light emitted from the excitation light source 12, applying wavelength conversion to the light, and emitting light in a prescribed wavelength region, and an imaging part 20 and supplying the light emission part with pulse current of a cycle equal to or shorter than exposure time in the imaging part.
