PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus which can adjust the distribution of an RF magnetic field according to a subject.SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus of an embodiment includes a transmission part, an optimal difference storage part, an amperometric part and a transmission control part. The transmission part transmits a high frequency pulse to a plurality of transmission channels. The amperometric part measures the distribution of electric currents which are made to flow through the plurality of the transmission channels due to the fact that the high frequency pulse is transmitted by the transmission part. The transmission control part calculates the amplitude difference and phase difference of the electric current between the transmission channels from the distribution of the electric currents measured by the amperometric part, and controls at least either of the amplitude and the phase of the high frequency pulse transmitted by the transmission part so that the difference between the calculated amplitude difference and phase difference and the optimal values of the amplitude difference and the phase difference may diminish.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】被検体に応じてRF磁場の分布を調整することができる磁気共鳴イメージング装置を提供することである。【解決手段】実施形態の磁気共鳴イメージング装置は、送信部と、最適差記憶部と、電流測定部と、送信制御部とを有する。送信部は、複数の送信チャンネルに高周波パルスを送信する。電流測定部は、前記送信部によって高周波パルスが送信されることで前記複数の送信チャンネルに流れる電流の分布を測定する。送信制御部は、前記電流測定部によって測定された電流の分布から前記複数の送信チャンネル間の電流の振幅差及び位相差を算出し、算出した振幅差及び位相差と振幅差及び位相差の最適値との差異が小さくなるように、前記送信部によって送信される高周波パルスの振幅及び位相の少なくも一方を制御する。【選択図】図5
