PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment tool for an endoscope which can safely perform treatment by easily performing restriction and release of rotation of an end treatment member with an optional projection length, has no risk of dropout of members or the like at its end and exhibits superior durability.
SOLUTION: The treatment tool for the endoscope is provided with rotation restricting mechanisms 5 and 6 for restricting rotation of the end treatment member 3 around an axis line with respect to a flexible sheath 2. The rotation restricting mechanisms 5 and 6 are provided with a rotation stopping member 5a which is arranged at the end of the flexible sheath 2 and a rotation stopping engagement part 6a which is arranged at the end side of an operating wire 4 so that it can be freely attached to and detached from the rotation stopping member 5a. A flexible sheath tube 1 which can freely move back and forth in the direction of the axis line and can freely rotate around the axis line with respect to the flexible sheath 2 covers the flexible sheath 2.
