Certain chemical entities are provided herein. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions comprising at least one chemical entity and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle. Methods of treating patients suffering from certain diseases and disorders responsive to the inhibition of KMO activity are described, which comprise administering to such patients an amount of at least one chemical entity effective to reduce signs or symptoms of the disease or disorder are disclosed. These diseases include neurodegenerative disorders such as Huntington's disease. Also described are methods of treatment include administering at least one chemical entity as a single active agent or administering at least one chemical entity in combination with one or more other therapeutic agents. Also provided are methods for screening compounds capable of inhibiting KMO activity.Se proporcionan en la presente ciertas entidades químicas. Se proporcionan también composiciones farmacéuticas que comprenden por lo menos una entidad química y uno o más vehículos farmacéuticamente aceptables. Se describen métodos para tratar a pacientes que sufren de ciertas enfermedades y padecimientos que responden a la inhibición de la actividad de KMO, los cuales comprenden administrar a dichos pacientes una cantidad de por lo menos una entidad química efectiva para reducir los signos o síntomas de la enfermedad o padecimiento. Estas enfermedades incluyen padecimientos neurodegenerativos tales como la enfermedad de Huntington. Se describen también métodos de tratamiento que incluyen administrar por lo menos una entidad química como un agente activo individual o administrar por lo menos una entidad química en combinación con uno o más agentes terapéuticos distintos. Se proporcionan también métodos para analizar compuestos capaces de inhibir la actividad de KMO.
