The present invention relates to compositions and methods for treating a broad set of syndromes collectively known as replant diseases or replant problems without harming the treated plant. The compositions and methods include fatty acids and combinations of fatty acids that are environmentally safe, yet highly effective at treating replant disease and its symptoms. The compositions and methods of the present invention do not result in the creation of toxic waste that requires special disposal.
