PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for producing compositions containing β-sitosterol glucoside in a high concentration.SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for producing a composition containing β-sitosterol glucoside of Formula (1) comprises the steps of: fermenting defatted rice bran and/or rice germ using Aspergillus oryzae to obtain a fermented product； extracting the fermented product with a polar solvent to obtain an extract of the fermented product； partitioning the extract with hexane and water； and then partitioning the resulting aqueous layer with ethyl acetate and water, further partitioning the resulting aqueous layer with a mixture of chloroform and methanol to separate a layer of chloroform-methanol mixture.SELECTED DRAWING: None
