Hydraulic secateurs for pruning trees from a distance. The invention relates to a system composed of a pressurised oil supply by means of flexible hoses connected to a pole carried by the user with the aid of a harness. At the end of this pole, secateurs (9-10) are actuated by a thrust cylinder (8). An orientation system (7) allows easier positioning for the user. An extension piece (6) is interposed between the bottom and top of the assembly. Following an action on the lever (2), and thereby on the slide (3) itself, the user controls opening or closing of the secateurs. Two adjusting knobs (4) make it possible to alter the operating speed of the secateurs. A pressure adjustment is located on the hydraulic pump. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for pruning trees from a distance, as well as for cutting up branches on the ground. <IMAGE>
