A patient table for a common imaging system including Magnetic Resonance and X-ray retains the patient stationary in position prior to, during and subsequent to the imaging and includes a base, a patient support portion cantilevered from the base and a mattress. The RF posterior coil portions for the head and for the chest can be inserted into and removed from an operating position underneath the head and chest of the patient while patient remains supported. The chest coil is inserted from one edge in a cavity in the mattress which is reinforced by a sleeve. The signal communication cable from the chest coil is routed in front of the mattress and over the mattress so as to not to be exposed at the sides. The head coil is carried on a base plate of the patient support alongside the head support which remains in place.Linvention concerne une table de support de patient destinée à un système dimagerie commun qui inclut la résonance magnétique et les rayons X. Ladite table maintient le patient de manière fixe en position, avant, pendant et après limagerie et elle comprend une base, une partie de support de patient montée en porte-à-faux par rapport à la base et un matelas. Les parties de bobine postérieures RF destinées à la tête et à la poitrine peuvent être insérées dans une position de fonctionnement sous la tête et la poitrine du patient et retirée de cette position alors que le patient reste supporté. La bobine de poitrine est insérée depuis un bord dans une cavité présente dans le matelas qui est renforcé par un manchon. Le câble de communication de signaux partant de la bobine de poitrine est dirigé en face du matelas et sur le matelas de manière à ne pas être exposé sur les côtés. La bobine de tête est portée par une plaque de base du support de patient le long du bord du support de tête qui reste en place.
