PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for simply and efficiently performing extraction and detection/quantitation of an organism-derived stain without dismantling an inspection object and without giving the inspection object a physical stress that may cause malfunction in the inspection object.SOLUTION: An organism-derived stain detection/quantitation method according to the present invention is for performing the detection/quantitation of the organism-derived stain adhered to the inspection object. The method includes an extraction process of extracting the organism-derived stain by bringing the inspection object into fluid contact with an extract containing a surfactant, and a detection/quantitation process of subjecting the extracted organism-derived stain to detection/quantitation. An organism-derived stain detection/quantitation device 1 according to the present invention comprises extraction means 10 that extracts the organism-derived stain by bringing the inspection object 11 into fluid contact with the extract containing the surfactant, and detection/quantitation means 20 that subjects the extracted organism-derived stain to detection/quantitation.
