PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a topiary which can be inexpensively prepared in a large quantily without requiring a sophisticated technique and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This topiary comprises the main body 1 composed of a porous concrete layer 2 formed into a desired shape such as a geometrical shape, animal, etc., plant seeds 4, water sucking up materials 5, water-retaining materials 6 and fertilizers 7 packed among aggregates 3 of the porous concrete layer 2. A water-permeable sheet 8 is stuck to the bottom of the porous concrete layer 2.
