PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for coating gateau Pyrenees, which forms no thick layer as a result of coating materials gathering on the recessed part of gateau Pyreneess surface.
SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: left and right arms 6 with one end fitted on the main shaft and the other end movable between an upwardly turned position and a downwardly turned position with baked gateau Pyrenees 5 axially suspended on, an arm-driving mechanism having a motor and functioning to turn the main shaft at a predetermined angle and adjustable in the downwardly turned position of the left and right arms 6, an autorotating mechanism having a motor and functioning to rotate the arms axial suspension part and autorotating gateau Pyrenees 5, and a saucer container 4 set beneath the arms and reserving a hot liquid coating material 3. The method comprises the following process: autorotation is started, and the arms are made to descend from the upwardly turned position to the downwardly turned position, gateau Pyrenees is immersed in the saucer container and coated with the coating material, and the autorotation is stopped and the arms are raised to the upwardly turned position, subsequently, the autorotation is started again and then stopped.
