PURPOSE: A device and a method for treating used water are provided to arrange a used water collecting tank and an oxidation decomposition tank in a lower part and install a plant purifying tank in an upper tank to minimize the size of a land used for the device, thereby reducing land costs. CONSTITUTION: A device for treating used water comprises the following units. Used water is stored in a used water collecting tank(10). The stored used water is supplied to a porous inlet distribution pipe through an inlet pump(12) and an inlet pipe(13) and air is supplied from a diffuser(24) through a diffusing pipe and an external blower(22) so that used water contacts air to be oxidized and dissolved. An oxidation decomposition tank(20) discharges sludge precipitated in the lower part through a sludge drawing pump(51).본 발명은 기계식 하수 처리 공법 및 자연 정화 공법의 단점을 보완한 새로운 복합 하수 처리 방법으로 하수를 산화분해조에서 강제 유입된 공기와 접촉시켜 산화 분해시키는 한편, 수생식물이 식재된 타공망이 구비된 부체를 통해 질소, 인 등의 영양물질을 제거하고, 산화 분해되고 영양물질이 제거된 하수는 식물고도처리조를 통해 재차 처리하여 정화할 수 있는 복합 하수 처리 방법 및 그 방법에 이용되는 복합 하수 처리 장치에 관한 것이다.
