A brace for suppressing speech stuttering of a user comprising - a first brace portion for receiving an arch of upper teeth of a maxilla of the user 5 - a second brace portion for receiving an arch of lower teeth of a mandible of the user wherein the first brace portion is connected to the second brace portion so as to define, in use, the maxilla at a predetermined position relative to the mandible, characterized in that an opening is arranged at a front side of the brace, the opening extending between the first brace portion and the second brace portion to 10 allow air flowing through the mouth and along vocal cords of the user to propagate air vibrations carrying vocal speech through the opening (Fig. 1)
