The container outer-surface sterilizer includes a container conveying device (21) that conveys the held preform (P), a container rotating device (26) that is provided on the container conveying device (21) and rotates the preform (P), and a magnetic-type driving force transmission mechanism (31) that transmits a driving force in a noncontact manner between a strip magnet assembly (32) and a ring magnet assembly (33) of the container rotating device (26). The magnetic-type driving force transmission mechanism (31) includes a magnet array provided for each of the strip magnet assembly (32) and the ring magnet assembly (33) that are moved while being opposed to each other with a predetermined gap, the magnet array including magnets alternately arranged with different magnetic poles.
