PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately read a measurement value displayed on a display section from an image in which the display section of a health measuring instrument is photographed.SOLUTION: An electronic device (a mobile phone 100, for example) has: a camera for capturing image data to be photographed which includes a display section for displaying a measurement value measured by a health measuring instrument which is provided in the health measuring instrument； and a controller for specifying an area in which an image of the display section which is included in the image data is projected on the basis of luminance distribution of the image data which is captured by the camera, performing photometric processing using the specified area as a target, and adjusting the exposure amount when an image to be photographed is acquired on the basis of the result of the photometric processing.
