PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molecular targeted drug used for a therapy of gastrointestinal cancer, and to provide a method for selecting gastrointestinal cancer patients who are predicted to respond to the therapy with the molecular targeted drug concerned by revealing the biomarker to predict the therapeutic effect by the molecular targeted drug concerned for every patient.SOLUTION: Using prostaglandin D2 synthetase promotes the endogenous production of prostaglandin D2, and can inhibit the proliferation of gastrointestinal cancer cells. Furthermore, prostaglandin D2 synthetase selectively shows a proliferation inhibition effect to the gastrointestinal cancer cells with high expression level of peroxisomal proliferation factor active receptor γ1 or an mRNA thereof.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】本発明は、消化器癌治療に使用される分子標的薬を提供すると共に、患者毎に当該分子標的薬による治療効果を予測するためのバイオマーカーを解明し、当該分子標的薬による治療効果が見込まれる消化器癌患者を選別するための方法を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】プロスタグランジンD2合成酵素を使用することにより、内因性のプロスタグランジンD2産生を促進し、消化器癌細胞の増殖を抑制できる。更に、プロスタグランジンD2合成酵素は、ペルオキシソーム増殖因子活性受容体γ1又はそのmRNAの発現量が多い消化器癌細胞に対して、選択的に増殖抑制効果を示す。【選択図】なし
