PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously cover up seeds dropped into seeding grooves with soil at thin conditions without breaking a shape of an opening part of the seeding grooves in a direct planting machine.SOLUTION: A horizontal support rod 74 at the rear of a machine body B is provided with a short-length leaf spring 16 in the traveling direction P of the machine body B through brackets 1, 2 and a support rod 11. The tip part is turnably supported through a vertically turning support shaft 20. A sled plate member 18 is integrally mounted on the tip part (free end part) of the leaf spring 16. A diagonal lower end part of a soil covering rod R is projected from an opening 26a of a sled plate part 26 into a diagonal lower part, and the soil covering rod R is integrally mounted to the sled plate member 18 in a stooping posture.
