The present invention relates to a method for improving the benefit of a therapeutic or therapeutic agent to a subject. The method includes administering to the subject an agent that reduces Fc receptor binding of serum IgG molecules in the subject, and then administering the treatment or the therapeutic agent to the subject. The invention also provides a method for reducing the effect of pathogenic autoantibodies in a subject, comprising: (a) administering to the subject an agent that reduces Fc receptor binding of serum IgG molecules in the subject； and optionally Optionally (b) thereafter comprising the step of subjecting the subject to treatment to remove endogenous autoantibodies.
