Disclosed is a stent device delivery system (1) comprising a stent device (4) and an outer sheath (2) overlaying the stent device. The outer sheath is axially retractable relative to the stent device in order to deploy the stent device. A method of making the same is also disclosed. The stent device delivery system employs a laminated structure which reinforces the sheath against forces arising from stent deployment. A pull element may form part of the laminated structure, which may be formed with a varying radial profile.
