PURPOSE: A use of milk fat globule-EGF factor 8(MFGE8) for liver regeneration and liver disease treatment is provided to ensure high expression level of MFGE8 in liver cells which is induced and differentiated in human embryonic stem cells, and to promote proliferation of the liver cells and revascularization. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating liver diseases contains MFGE8. The composition further contains a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. A cell therapeutic agent contains MFGE8 and liver cells. The liver cells are induced and differentiated from human embryonic stem cells.본 발명은 Milk fat globule-EGF factor 8 (MFGE8)을 이용한 간 재생 및 간 질환 개선 용도에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 MFGE8는 인간 배아줄기세포에서 유도 분화된 간세포에서 높은 발현율을 나타내며, 간세포 증식 및 혈관 재생을 촉진하여 단독으로 사용하거나, 간세포와 함께 사용하여 간 재생 및 간 질환 개선을 달성할 수 있다.
