PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article excellent in a wearing feeling and capable of exhibiting a sufficient absorption performance.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 of the invention comprises: a skin side sheet 2 a non-skin side sheet 3 and an absorbent core 41. The skin side sheet 2 has high projection part rows 21L and low projection part rows 22L which are alternately arranged in a vertical direction X. The absorbent core 41 comprises on a second area 41M between first and third areas 41F, 41R, a high basis weight part 42 having a basis weight higher than that of the first and third areas 41F, 41R. The high basis weight part 42 is shorter than a length of the absorbent core 41 in a vertical direction X, and both side edges thereof along the vertical direction X extend to both side edges 41s, 41s of the absorbent core 41. The high basis weight part 42 has a pair of side high basis weight parts 42S, 42S each of which is arranged on each of both side parts along the vertical direction X, and a lateral center high basis weight part 421C arranged between the pair of side high basis weight parts 421S, 421S.
