PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a micro-bubble contrast medium having excellent safety and diagnostic performance and easily formable in examination and to provide an apparatus for producing the medium.
SOLUTION: The production apparatus is provided with an isotonic solution container 4 filled with an isotonic solution SW, a carbon dioxide gas cylinder 5 filled with carbon dioxide gas CD, a catheter 8, isotonic solution flow channels 6, 7 connecting the isotonic solution container 4 and the catheter 8, carbon dioxide gas flow channels 11, 12 connecting the carbon dioxide gas cylinder 5 and the catheter 8, and a micro-bubble generator 13 attached to the tip end of the catheter 8 and forming micro-bubbles of the isotonic solution SW and carbon dioxide gas CD supplied to the catheter 8.
