PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge system for mixing and applying a mixing ware, especially medical cement.SOLUTION: The system has two cartridges 2, and a mixing space 18 with an outlet opening, and at least one opening 16 that connects the cartridges to the mixing space is provided. A feed plunger 8 for expelling starting components 4 of the mixing ware from the cartridges through the openings is provided. Each cartridge has at least one closure 6 that is shiftable in longitudinal direction of the cartridges, whereby the closures close the openings of the cartridges in a starting position, and the openings are open, at least in part, in an end position of the shiftable closures. At least each of the two cartridges has a cylindrical hollow space and the closure is disposed inside the cartridge.
