PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing color deterioration of a beverage (a natural coloring material-containing beverage) containing natural coloring material, and to provide a natural coloring material-containing beverage prevented from color deterioration.
SOLUTION: The method for preventing color deterioration of the beverage includes adding ferric ion to a natural coloring material-containing beverage and utilizing photooxidation of the natural coloring material-containing beverage. The natural coloring material-containing beverage contains ferric ion and is prevented from deterioration caused by photooxidation.
