PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indwelling needle having improved maneuverability, being capable of storing the distal end of a needle section safely within a tube body, and preventing the tube body from hindering operation of the indwelling needle even when the distal end of the needle section is projected from the tube body.
SOLUTION: The indwelling needle 1 includes the hollow needle section 2 having the bent distal section, a hub 3, and the flexible tube body 51 for storing the distal end of the needle section 2. The hub 3 has a cylindrical section 32 extending forward, and the cylindrical section 32 has a slit 33 extending in the front and back directions. The tube body 51 receives the needle section 2 slidably within itself and is located on the rear end side of the needle section 2 within the cylindrical section 32. A sliding tube 52 for freely sliding the needle section 2 is arranged on the rear end of the tube body 51. The sliding tube 52 has an operating lever 54 exposed from the slit 33. A plurality of cuts 51a are formed in the outer top surface of the tube body 51. By moving the operation lever 54 forward, the tube body 51 receives the distal end of the needle section 2.
