Disclosed is a composition comprising an oil medium, wherein solid particles are suspended in said oil medium, wherein said solid particles comprise cyclopropene and molecular encapsulating agent that encapsulates said cyclopropene or portion of said cyclopropene, and wherein said solid particles have median size, as measured by the largest dimension, of 50 micrometer or less, wherein said cyclopropene is any compound of the formula specified in the specification wherein said oil is a compound that is liquid at 25 degrees C and one atmosphere pressure that has boiling point at one atmosphere pressure of 30 degrees C or higher and that is not water, surfactant, or dispersant and wherein the continuous medium of said composition is said oil medium.
