PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound sufficiently satisfying a plurality of requirements for excellent water repellency and oil repellency, high affinity to skin, inducing no smear of makeup when the compound is blended in a cosmetic, and giving good feeling for use.
SOLUTION: A fluorine-modified silicone is provided, comprising a polysiloxane unit having polysiloxane as a main chain structure and a perfluoropolyether group expressed by general formula (3) (where l is an integer of 2 to 100) in a side chain structure, which is a specified perfluoropolyether. A method for producing the fluorine-modified silicone is also provided.
