PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional image generation device for generating a three-dimensional image (for example, virtual endoscope image) with high resolution, color information and high availability.
SOLUTION: For each of a plurality of pixels in a two-dimensional image obtained by photographing an object, coordinates on a third coordinate axis are calculated based on luminance information, so that three-dimensional coordinates can be obtained (S304), and a three-dimensional model configured of one or more triangles is generated based on the three-dimensional coordinates of the plurality of pixels (S305), and the texture of a two-dimensional image is attached to the three-dimensional image (S306), so that a three-dimensional image is generated from the two-dimensional image.
