PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which allows for both local and global observations of a subject eye in an appropriate manner.SOLUTION: The optical system of an ophthalmological imaging apparatus according to an embodiment scans multiple times substantially the same cross section of a subject eye using optical coherent tomography. A formation unit forms a plurality of images of the cross section based on data obtained by the multiple times of scan. A division unit divides each of the plurality of images into a plurality of partial regions. A setting unit sorts the plurality of partial regions of each of the plurality of images into target partial regions for image superimposition processing and non-target partial regions for image superimposition processing. A superimposition processing unit applies image superimposition processing only to the target partial regions.
