The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing a Canavalia lineata extract as an active ingredient for moisturizing and anti-wrinkle effects on skin. More specifically, the present invention relates to the cosmetic composition for moisturizing and anti-wrinkle effects on skin, which contains the Canavalia lineata extract as the active ingredient to have a skin wrinkle-reducing effect due to inhibition of the MMP-1 expression and to have a skin moisturizing effect due to promotion of the AQP-3 expression. The Canavalia lineata extract of the present invention exerts excellent skin wrinkle-reducing effect by effectively inhibiting the MMP-1 expression.
