PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel applications of peptide consisting of a partial amino acid sequence of a prorenin prosegment to prevention and/or treatment of diabetes and/or diabetic complications.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a medicine that contains as active ingredients a vaccine containing as an active ingredient a conjugate of a peptide consisting of an amino acid sequence at position 7 to 16 in the N terminal of prorenin with a carrier, and an antibody specifically bound to the peptide and/or a derivative thereof. According to the invention, it can induce immune response specific to prorenin and can be used as a vaccine against diabetes and/or diabetic complications. The vaccine of the invention can also exert the effect as a drug for a long time, and can reduce the patient load on the number of times of medication. The medicine comprising a specific antibody of the invention can be utilized as a medicine against diabetes and/or diabetic complications.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT【課題】 本発明は、糖尿病及び/又は糖尿病合併症の予防及び/又は治療への、プロレニンプロセグメントの部分アミノ酸配列からなるペプチドの新たな利用を提供することを目的とするものである。【解決手段】 本発明は、プロレニンのN末端7番目から16番目のアミノ酸配列からなるペプチドと担体とのコンジュゲートを有効成分とするワクチン、及び同ペプチドに特異的に結合する抗体及び/又はその誘導体を有効成分とする医薬に関する。本発明によれば、プロレニンに特異的な免疫応答を誘導することができ、糖尿病及び/又は糖尿病合併症に対するワクチンとして利用することができる。また、本発明のワクチンは薬物としての効果を長時間発揮させることができ、薬物投与回数に関する患者負担を低減することが可能となる。また、本発明の特異抗体を含む医薬は、糖尿病及び/又は糖尿病合併症に対する医薬として利用することができる。【選択図】図1
