An absorbent article is provided to make it difficult that the body fluid absorbed in an absorbent layer leaks from the main edge portion of rear flaps. An absorbent article(1) comprises an absorbent body(2) and a couple of rear flaps(3). The absorbent body includes a body absorbing body and a body leakage preventing layer. The rear flaps are formed outwardly on both sides portions of the rear of the absorbent body in a transversal direction. The rear flap includes a flap absorbent layer(31) and a flap leakage preventing layer. The surface of the flap leakage preventing layer on the side of the flap absorbent layer has concave and convex structure.
