PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthosis for the hallux valgus that is used by holding between the hallux and the second toe, to make adjustable the degree that toes are opened apart using a padding, and to maintain for a long time a state in which the degree that toes are opened apart is appropriately adjusted.SOLUTION: The orthosis 10 for the hallux valgus is made from elastic resin. The orthosis 10 is provided with a held section 11 that is held between the hallux and the second toe a padding compartment 14 comprising a hollow cavity provided inside the held section 11 a first extension piece 12 extending from the toe root side upper surface of the held section 11 to cover part of the instep and a second extension piece 13 extending from the toe root side lower surface of the held section 11 to cover part of the sole.
