The present invention provides a lighting device that helps suppress deterioration of recognizability of skin on a vein and skin on a periphery thereof. Chromaticity of second white light L2 is within a third-step range of MacAdam ellipse centered at chromaticity of first white light L1. A first ratio that indicates a sum of radiation energy in a wavelength range that is higher than 500nm and lower than 520nm and that in a wavelength range that is higher than 620nm and lower than 700nm relative to radiation energy in a wavelength range that is higher than 380nm and lower than 780nm for the first white light L1 is greater than that of the second white light L2.
