A lancing mechanism comprising an insertion member which can move in the insertion direction when fired, an elastic section which is provided to the insertion member, and a surrounding member which defines a space in which the insertion member can move in insertion operation. When the insertion member is fired and moved in the insertion direction, the elastic section rubs against the surrounding member as the insertion member moves.
